These should
only be brought to school after both the parent and the child have weighed
the benefits against the risks of loss or damage. Such items are also the
cause of frequent ownership disputes unless they are clearly marked or ownership
is easily established. Toys for sandpit play should be limited to one or two.
Ornamental or decorative jewelry (beads, bangles, pendants, necklaces) have
no place at school. Safety issues are a concern where jewelry can be entangled
when playing games and using equipment.
