Teachers are willing to give medication to a child during school time only if:

  1. the medication is absolutely necessary and parents are unable to come to the school and administer it
  2. parent/legal guardian completes a medical consent form
  3. a medical practitioner prescribes the medication - non-prescribed medication such as Panadol will not be administered
  4. a pharmacist at a medical practitioner's directions, writes the instructions on the medication container.
