To
comply with Education Queensland regulations, parents must provide an explanation
regarding a child's absence from school. Sickness cannot be avoided, but absenteeism
as a matter of convenience rather than necessity, is not acceptable.
The school has an absentee phone number which parents are requested to call
and leave a message each time their child is away.
Children are required to attend school until reaching the age of 15. Regular
and/or lengthy unauthorised absences must be reported to a relevant authority
by the Principal.
